Needed: Someone who loves to work outside rain or shine, heat or snow. Do you like to work hard and don’t mind a little dirt and dust? Do you want to be part of a team that grows, cleans, and sells native grass and wildflower seed for wildlife habitat, grazing, ecosystem restoration, and landscaping? Sound like you? Read on to learn more about our position in seed production and processing. This position involves:
- A variety of work that changes with the seasons and will include seed harvesting, seed cleaning, and rogueing weeds from fields.
- Willingness to go out of town to harvest seed. Trips are typically in the fall and last from 2-7 days.
- Ability to operate machinery and drive a standard pickup with trailer.
- Strength to regularly lift 50 pound bags of seed and do other physical work
- Mechanical skills are not necessary but are a plus.
- Parts of the year will also be spent doing other activities; this will be based upon your skills as well as what needs to be done, but could include mechanical work, some office work, etc.
- No smoking is allowed on the job; Competitive wages.
