We are seeking a friendly and organized Hostess to be the first point of contact for our diners, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.

Job Summary: As a Hostess at Hammock Dunes Club you will be responsible for managing the front-of-house operations, including greeting and seating guests, handling reservations, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring that every guest's dining experience begins on the right note.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Reception:
• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant.
• Manage guest seating and waitlists, ensuring efficient and timely seating based on reservations and availability.
• Answer phone calls and manage reservations, providing accurate wait times and accommodating special requests when possible.
• Customer Service:
• Provide excellent service by addressing guest inquiries, managing special requests, and resolving any issues that arise promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, ensuring all guests feel welcome and valued.
• Operational Duties:
• Maintain an organized and clean host stand and dining area.
• Coordinate with the serving staff and management to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure a steady flow of guests and assist with any guest-related needs.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Keep accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests.
• Assist with managing the restaurant's reservation system and update guest information as necessary.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with servers, bussers, and management to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.
• Communicate any special guest needs or concerns to the appropriate team members.
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a high-end or private dining environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems and basic office equipment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  
  

Education & Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
