Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet for hotel guests
- Ensure all food items are fresh, properly displayed, and replenished as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the breakfast area
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer guest inquiries and provide information about menu items
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with prompt and courteous resolution
- Operate Aloha POS system for guest transactions and payments
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking as needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for catering events
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and knife skills is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for taking guest orders or reservations
- Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
