Room Attendant Job Description
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary
The Room Attendant works under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, Maintenance Engineer, Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
Ensure facility is clean and sanitized for all. Physically demanding position with strenuous physical requirements. Every new hire will be placed on a 30 day probation period to ensure brand standard are being met. There will be a performance review before or within the first 30 days.
Primary Responsibilities
- Cleans the cart & ensures that all bottles are correctly labeled
- Load house cart with all necessary supplies
- Clean the cart & ensures that all cleaning bottles are correctly labeled
- Vacuum & sweep carpets & floors
- Mop floors
- Dust, brush, polish, & vacuum furniture
- Dust & clean room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.
- Clean upholstered furniture in lobby area and business center; rotating with other house personnel
- Maintain and clean business center, including but not limited to; computers, office machines, counter, pictures, walls, chairs, carpet, letting front desk know of items that need replenished and keeping plant watered and healthy
- Maintain and clean public restrooms and employee restroom, including but not limited to; vanity, toilet, mirror, door, trash receptacle, replenishing toilet paper and facial tissue, floor and walls
- Maintain and clean employee break room, including but not limited to; counter, cabinets, refrigerator, freezer table, chairs, lockers, floor, walls and stock items
- Maintain and clean fitness center, including but not limited to; fitness center equipment, water bottle, hamper, replenishing hand towels, scale, mirrors, windows, door, walls and television set
- Maintain and clean indoor pool, including but not limited to; pool furniture, pool signage, phone, plants, towel rack, replenishes pool towels doors, floor, windows, walls and wall tile
- Maintain and clean guest laundry, including but not limited to; washer, dryer, guest laundry furniture, phone, trash receptacle, floor, doors and walls
- Maintains and clean common areas on each floor, including but not limited to; coke machine, ice machine, trash receptacle, floor, walls and elevator landing
- Maintain and clean elevator inside and outside using stainless steel wipes only on stainless steel; use appropriate cleaner for wood and glass in all other areas
- Clean sink and bathroom items; removes used amenities & supplies
- Inspect areas for safety hazards & for the operating conditions of equipment
- Report lost & found articles, maintenance problems (common areas) to your immediate supervisor and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of storage room & stocks house cart
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Previous customer service experience
Physical Requirements
- Walking and standing for long periods of time
- Pushing a vacuum cleaner
- Bending, Stooping, Kneeling
- Lift mattresses and arrange furniture
- Loading and unloading supply cart
- Ability to lift/carry up 50 to 75 pounds

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
