Hamptons Swim is a women-owned and operated luxury swim school located in the Hamptons. Led by Liz Parry, our swim lesson services helped over 700 students reach their goals during the 2023 season. Our team of swim instructors is trained to meet the unique needs of each swimmer regardless of age, ability, and learning preference. From the basics of swimming, to overcoming fears, to perfecting your stroke, Hamptons Swim makes swimming safe and enjoyable for all.
We service clients throughout the East End from Riverhead to Montauk, including Shelter Island, and are looking to add someone to our team who can service an area of your choosing. Our official season begins Memorial Day weekend and continues through Labor Day, with our busiest months being July and August. There are part-time and full-time positions available to help cater to our swim instructors’ busy schedules. Whether you have another part-time job or are looking to capitalize on this upcoming summer’s opportunities, we are flexible with hours, days, and months of availability.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Teaching 30 min to 2 hour lessons
- Drive to and from each lesson
- Be familiar with and prepare lesson material for all ages and skill levels
- Provide a safe and fun learning environment
- Use scheduling system for booking and confirming lessons with clients
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients
- Communicate with the operations team about any scheduling issues
- Participate in pre-season training sessions
- Donate 1-2 evenings for volunteer lesson opportunities to local nonprofit organizations
Requirements are:
- Live in or near the Hamptons area
- Reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years experience as a swim instructor (experience as a teacher is a plus)
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certified
- Red Cross CPR certified
- Able to respond to emails and texts in a timely manner is essential
- Dependable, punctual, easy going personality, patient, good with kids
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
