Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Asset Protection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in minimizing loss, protecting company assets, and fostering a safe workplace. This role involves working closely with team members across departments to ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loss Prevention: Monitor and investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and other activities that pose risks to company assets.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to reduce potential losses.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Surveillance: Operate and maintain security equipment, including cameras and alarms, to deter and detect suspicious activity.
o With guidance from management, assist with people safety and workplace violence incidents in restaurants, to include but not limited to interviewing witnesses and threatened employees, developing employee protection plans for approval, implementing safety plans, and working with law enforcement and private security
- Incident Reporting: Document incidents thoroughly and lead investigations as needed.
- Training: Educate employees on loss prevention techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Partner with store managers and regional leadership to address security concerns and implement preventive measures.
- Through coaching and teaching, build the capability of restaurant and field management to improve compliance with Hamra’s cash handling and security policies. Utilize Remote Audit and Snapshot findings to identify trends as a guide to capability building efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 years in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
- Food and Beverage experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong observational and analytical skills. Ability to communicate investigative findings to leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in security systems and loss prevention tools.
o Proficient with MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook Experience with video surveillance.
- Proficient with exception-based reporting (EBR) software to identify theft and fraud. Experience with behavioral threat assessment and management techniques
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
