We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our OBGYN medical practice. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for handling phone calls related to new patient appointments, utilizing your expertise in medical practices and familiarity with Athena EMR’s.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls for new patient appointments promptly and professionally.
- Utilize the Athena EMR system to efficiently schedule appointments and manage patient information.
- Demonstrate strong follow-up skills by calling back patients to confirm and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Send appointment confirmations via email.
- Work a standard 8-hour day, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Display proficiency in medical insurance processes and terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English.
- Act as a self-motivated and dedicated team member.
- Work within the Eastern Time Zone to accommodate our patient base effectively.
- W2 position with competitive hourly rates.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with medical practices and Athena EMR’s.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with medical insurance processes and terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Self-driven and able to work independently.
