Job Description

Handycars is currently seeking motivated individuals to expand our Service Parts Team! As a family owned and operated dealership, we are committed to the professional growth and success of our employees.

The Parts Counter Person will be the point person for the Parts Department with any over the counter parts sales, repair order billing, parts sourcing etc.

They must have a high aptitude for computer system utilization and a creative streak for being able to source parts effectively.

They will work closely with the technicians, service advisors and parts manager to ensure that accurate parts quoting, and sourcing is being accomplished.

Constant learning is a must in this position as departmental requirements are always changing.

Training Requirements

• Basic understanding of automotive mechanical makeup
• Ability to learn all systems and how to locate answers within
• Learn how to locate parts in EPC and with any aftermarket vendors
• Learn the basics of placing / checking in the parts order and all other processes in the parts department

Job Responsibilities

• Search current inventory for parts needed for repairs performed by the shop
• Bill out any parts that are being taken from parts inventory (to shop or over counter)
• Perform Continuous Inventory checks
• Organize / stock all items in the parts room
• Order any parts not carried in inventory
• Properly documenting all quotes and orders in the company DMS (AutoMate) and internal communication systems (AutoPoint MPI).
