Lead Beer Tender

Description

Serves as Shift Supervisor, responsible for staff management, operations activities and flow during his/her shift.

Key areas of Responsibility

• Daily monetary requirements
  • Checking cash banks needed for daily business
  • Replenishing cash banks mid shift by exchanging cash tips
• Organizing the bar and staff during shift
  • Handling draft line issues/coordinating with TR Management to assist
  • Working with the Lead packaging technician on keg availability
• Inventory needs
  • Ordering daily cleaning/ necessary supplies
  • Coordinating with the TR Management on transport from storage
  • Notifying Tasting Room manager when merchandise items need to be reordered
• Updating customer information centers
  • Weekly cask, special release beers and upcoming events (All chalkboards and tasting room information table)
• Facilitating communication from managers to staff
  • Coordinating with other lead beer tenders on pertinent information
  • Informing beer tenders of new changes and procedures
• Ensuring completion of daily tasks and responsibilities by all beer tenders
  • Opening checklist, closing checklist, etc.
  • Restocking necessary paperwork needed for task completion
• Receiving real time information from beer tenders
  • Documenting and communicating concerns
• Taking on and delegating responsibilities
  • Maximizing efficiency to get jobs done quickly and correctly

Qualifications

• Open Availability
• Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Program
• Proven understanding of the daily needs of the bar
• Good organizational skills
• Stellar customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Sound judgment
• Overall strong work ethic
• Self-motivated
• Great conflict management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to maneuver 165 lbs keg
