Full-Time Medical Assistant

This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support,  seeks a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant. Hanley Foundation provides a comprehensive continuum of individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment programs and recovery support for adults, including those with co-occurring disorders. The Position

The Medical Assistant works with the medical and nursing staff, providing clients with personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care. The Medical Assistant observes, receives, and obtains information from all relevant sources. The Medical Assistant is responsible for keeping up-to-date, technically applying new knowledge to the job, and providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and others by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Medical Assistants will be required to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form. Qualifications:

• Current medical assistant certification.
• Phlebotomy Certification
• Experience administering EKG testing
• Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Knowledge of substance use disorders and experience working in the treatment field is preferred.
• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
