What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Learning Teacher position at Hannahville Indian Community?
These 32 hour, temporary, summer positions will be working independently teaching groups of liked aged youth; supervising one grade level of students enrolled in the Summer Learning Program; planning hands on academic activities for the students; actively involved in classroom activities; utilizing a variety of teaching tools to maximize student learning; coordinating with the 21st Century Staff to enhance the services to students enrolled in the Summer Programs and rotating duty of breakfast and lunch. B.S. in Education with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Experience working with children in an educational setting and with the Summer Learning Program. Knowledge of MI. benchmarks and standards; the Native American culture and best practice and proper teaching techniques. Excellent oral and written communication skills, must work effectively with other people at a variety of situations. Must be able to pass a background and post offer drug test.
