After- School Program Director @ Lomita Park
JOB OVERVIEW
The School-Age Director oversees our robust before and after-school programs at Happy Hall Schools. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for school-age education, a keen understanding of the needs of both children and parents, and proven leadership skills to manage and motivate our staff.
Happy Hall Schools Inc. is an iconic and progressive early childhood organization serving families since 1951. We operate a range of programs for children 18 months through eighth grade at 10 locations in San Bruno, Millbrae, Pacifica, & South San Francisco.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
- Oversee the day to day operations of an ASES before and after school program with 100 student enrollment.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all times.
Staff Management
- Lead and supervise a team of 10-13 employees.
- Coordinate staff schedules, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
Program Development & Implementation
- Develop and implement an educational program based on best practices in school-age education.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve student outcomes and maintain high-quality standards.
Enrollment Management & Community Outreach
- Oversee student enrollment process and maintain a healthy waiting list.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to drive enrollment.
- Conduct school tours for prospective families.
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents and families, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings and community events.
Administrative Duties
- Manage budget to ensure efficient operation and allocation of resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on students, staff, and activities.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and attend weekly Director meetings.
- Maintain accurate digital records for children.
- Monitor attendance for all children and enforce attendance rules with families.
- Write monthly newsletters.
- Use a computer with basic proficiency.
- Order supplies and food.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Prior experience in a leadership or administrative role in a school-age setting.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in school-age education.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge or experience with ASES programs preferred.

BENEFITS & SALARY
- $67k-70k per year
