What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Preschool Teacher position at Happy Minds Montessori?
We have a lead teacher position available for someone with a Montessori Certification to begin this summer or in September at the latest.
Duties:
- Provide and maintain a safe, organized and enriching environment for the (15-18) children in your care.
- Collaborate with your assistant teacher.
- Communicate with parents through an app regarding behavior, progress and daily activities.
- Assist children in becoming more independent, self-confident and a successful part of their classroom community.
- Provide activities and materials that allow the children to learn new concepts and practice others, exploring their world and building their understanding.
- Provide routines and behavioral boundaries that will encourage the children to develop self-regulation and good manners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and classroom management
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
