We are seeking compassionate and dedicated CNAs and HHAs to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and helping them remain at home safely and happily. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals who have disabilities or require memory care.
What you will be doing:
- Assist clients with their personal care (bathing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and dressing)
- Help with mobility and transferring, including lifting when necessary while adhering to proper techniques
- Document and maintain accurate care records (Notes & Observations)
- Provide companionship and engage clients in fun and meaningful activities (walks, social events, hobbies, or errands)
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams regarding client needs and progress
- Light housekeeping, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications
- Being the caring presence that makes all the difference
- Compassionate heart with professional boundaries
- Commitment to providing high-quality care
- Strong understanding of caregiving principles and practices, particularly in home settings
- Experience working with individuals who have disabilities is preferred
- Proficient in maintaining records and documentation accurately
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members (English)
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- CNA Certification or HHA certificate of completion
- Six months of related experience required, one (1) year related experience preferred (We value your expertise!)
- Current State driver’s license
- Current auto liability insurance
- Current CPR certification
- Compliance with current State qualifications
- Must be able to report to work punctually
- Able to pass a level 2 background screening per FL requirement
- Ability to verify employment eligibility (I-9)
- Negative drug screen
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background screening
- Utilizes proper body mechanics
- Must be able to lift and stoop, effectively, up to 100 times each workday to perform client service responsibilities
- Requires correctable vision and hearing
- Must be able to ambulate on both legs/feet on uneven and even surfaces
- Medium physical activity that may require constant lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
