What are the responsibilities and job description for the Re-Entry & Data Coordinator position at Harbor?
Harbor is currently seeking a full-time Re-Entry & Data Coordinator. As a member of the vocational re-entry team, strives to ensure that Harbor’s data/information is accurate, timely, and useful to other Harbor employees in the successful and optimal completion of their jobs within the organization. Must be able to interpret data on computer, enter information into and access data from the computer; must be able to verbally communicate with other staff. Must also be a competent human services provider who provides employment services and re-entry supports to participants both pre-release and post-release.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in in business, counseling, social work or closely related behavioral/mental field from an accredited college or university, plus 1 year employment services experience required; or an Associates’ degree plus 3 years employment services experience; or, in lieu of previous requirement, 5 years’ experience providing employment services (i.e. job development, job coaching).
- Position requires experience and all-around knowledge working in a networked environment, including troubleshooting skills.
- Must be a team player, learn protocols quickly and be competent to train others.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with a variety of individuals.
- Must be patient, conscientious, self-motivated, independent, and productive.
- Specific education/training in computer science and experience in a healthcare/behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
- Must be willing to meet with participants in a corrections setting (pre-release) and support re-entry in the community (post-release)
- Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
- CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.
- Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and be deemed insurable through Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
- Accurately and timely enters and monitors participant services and information into database system used by program.
- Monitors participant records for completeness.
- Runs reports and initiates corrective action as necessary to insure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Supports program manager by providing reports and data to monitor outcomes and progress towards achieving program goals.
- Performs entry/computer scoring of assessments, and uploads reports/documents into identified system.
- Provides supervision and support as directed by program manager to assigned staff.
- Provides re-entry services and employment services and supports to program participants.
- Ensures proper filing and storage of data entry documents.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
