Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Solar Project Manager specializing in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and Community Solar projects. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects from inception through commissioning. Your expertise will drive project success by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing schedules, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of solar EPC projects, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, construction teams, and external stakeholders to foster seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
  • Oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, blueprints, schematics, and contract specifications.
  • Review construction estimates and manage procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or comparable estimating tools to optimize costs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings such as schematics and civil plans (Civil 3D), ensuring accuracy in implementation.
  • Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports with precision.
  • Utilize construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam for daily reporting, tracking issues, and maintaining project records.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Facilitate effective project coordination through strong time management skills while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large-scale solar or renewable energy EPC projects with a focus on community solar initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including project scheduling (Primavera P6), blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and site supervision.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid; familiarity with contracts and procurement processes is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with construction site activities; familiarity with civil design software like Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Strong skills in project management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other construction management platforms.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to guide installation teams effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating diverse teams across multiple disciplines on complex projects.
  • Relevant certifications or training in construction management or related fields are preferred; prior experience in the renewable energy sector is highly advantageous. Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
