Harney Hardware is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Accountant. In this role, you will be assisting with general accounting and bookkeeping duties, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals starting their career in accounting to gain hands-on experience. We specialize in products such as door locks, bath hardware, cabinet hardware, and accessories. Our success is rooted in consistency, accuracy, and a dedication to delivering dependable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Record and classify daily financial transactions (A/P, A/R, bank entries, etc.)

· Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly

· Maintain and update general ledger accounts

· Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reports

· Process vendor invoices and customer payments

· Organize and maintain accounting documents and records

· Assist with credit functions such as collections from customers

· Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
