About the Role
This Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial support to the Global Professional Division. The key areas of focus will be profitability analysis, project management, budgeting, and analytical activities for the finance function of the Professional Division. This position is also responsible for completing complex management reports and financial models, process improvement initiatives, and developing recommendations for change. In addition, journal entry review, account reconciliation and good knowledge of financial systems is required.
What You Will Do
Preparation of CO-PA financial reports (Business Unit and Brand P&Ls) including consolidation and analysis on monthly Professional Business results.
Ensure accuracy of business results, review and provide variance commentaries to Harman and Samsung headquarters.
Collaborate with business partners and drive Cross-Functional Projects to support Professional Division and Corporate objectives.
Support maintaining master data relating to product, customers, general ledger accounts and cost center detail to ensure clean flow to Brand and Business Unit P&Ls.
Perform CO-PA month-end close activities in liaison with FP&A team calendar to ensure proper system reconciliation between FI-CO and CO-PA systems including review of master data journal entries.
Develop improved reporting structures to facilitate profitability analysis.
Serve as systems support for FP&A Team during Budgeting cycle and on ad hoc requests.
Analyze and maintain brand and business unit SAP CO-PA allocation logics (actuals and budget).
Support both internal and external audit activities.
Provide and present management reporting on monthly financial information as well as ad-hoc analysis summaries.
Work with accounting department and business leaders to properly tag reconciliation entries with relevant master data fields.
Support maintaining accounting policies specific to Professional Division.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management or Economics or equivalent work experience.
2 years of finance and accounting experience in a complex environment.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash management and financial analysis processes.
Knowledge of SAP and Business Intelligence reporting systems.
Experience includes reviewing journal entries, preparing financial statements, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Outstanding communicator (oral and written) and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data, input, and intuition to inform decisions.
Experience with change management in the areas of processes and systems.
Extensive experience in Microsoft Office software required, including high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 5% domestically as needed.
This role is eligible to work remotely with weekly trips into the Northridge, CA office as scheduled or requested (this could be on 24-hour notice).
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

The standard base salary range for this position is $81,000-$99,000 applicable bonus.
