What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Instructor position at Harmony: Austin's In-Home Music Lessons?

Job description

Harmony is a rapidly growing music studio in the Austin area that has been in business for over 15 years. We are looking for highly motivated and responsible piano instructors to assist in meeting the growing needs of the studio. Applicants must be willing to teach students in person at the students’ homes, as well as be able to give online lessons. Training will be provided.

All applicants must be located in the Austin area or planning to relocate.

The studio focuses on sharing a love for music with students, primarily ages 5 to 18. The studio curriculum includes: activities that reinforce the musical concepts students are learning at the piano, effective practice incentives, and tools to tailor lesson plans to each student’s individual learning style. New teachers will also receive comprehensive training in how to effectively use the resources. Teachers may also design some of their own lesson plans.

The studio handles all policies, marketing, billing and collection of payments, scheduling, and other administrative tasks, allowing instructors to enjoy teaching. This is a part-time position that can potentially grow to a full-time position if the instructor desires. We prefer instructors who can teach at least 2-3 days.
