Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to oversee operations within a senior care facility, including assisted living, nursing home, or memory care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, management experience, and a compassionate approach to resident care. This role involves coordinating daily activities, managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a safe and supportive environment for residents with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and developmental disabilities.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring high-quality resident care and safety standards are maintained
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
  • Supervise and support staff including caregivers, nurses, and support personnel; provide leadership and guidance
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration and health assessments
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities
  • Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for the facility
  • Foster positive relationships with residents' families and community partners
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction
  • Manage documentation related to resident records, care plans, incident reports, and regulatory audits

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or retirement homes; long-term care experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills with supervisory experience in healthcare or group home environments
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and residents' individual needs
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and resident safety procedures
  • Ability to develop and oversee care plans tailored to residents’ needs
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in operations management and budgeting
  • Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills for working with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Working knowledge of social work principles or experience working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous
  • Relevant certifications in healthcare administration or management are preferred but not required
