Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors in a variety of settings, including assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional health, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and independence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in senior care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
