Hart Design & Construction is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. As a Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a critical role in overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee construction activities from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors' work and suppliers to ensure budgets are met while maintaining the production schedule.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship and materials adhere to quality specifications.
  • Prepare or review reports on progress, payment applications, punch lists daily diaries, and input data into the software management system.
  • Coordinate and approve time and material costs with various sub-contractors while maintaining daily paperwork and job logs.
  • Maintain timely and accurate customer billing, as well as correspondence with the customer both written and verbal.
  • Communicate with Superintendents to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
  • Resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Oversee construction projects.
  • Supervise and manage field staff.
  • Be the main point of contact for design professionals, owners, and vendors.
  • Manage subcontractors and approve invoices.

Qualifications: 

  • 7 years of experience in construction management or a related field
  • High School diploma or GED required. A bachelors degree is a plus!
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Ability to read, understand, and explain construction blueprints and floorplans.
  • Possess expertise in standard commercial construction practices.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and budget.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for demanding clients.
  • Deep knowledge of industry safety practices.
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software. Bluebeam experience is a plus.  Were looking for a tech-savvy person!  
  • Professionalism in manner and attire.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Strong leadership, and project management skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work well under pressure

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting salary at $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
