Job Description

Essential Functions:

Accounts Payables

• Review and post all requisitions submitted by the schools.
• Generate and email all purchase orders to originators
• Process and post purchase orders and invoices
• Send manifest to school board chair and the town treasurer for approval
• Print and mail checks
• File purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Maintain gas, Canon, solar, and Firstlight spreadsheets
• Obtain/maintain W-9 forms for all vendors
• Complete credit applications
• Process 1099s at the end of the calendar year

• Maintain records and process payments for district professional development
• Enter requisitions and print all purchase orders
• Process and post payments
• Distribute checks
• File paperwork
• Generate reports

• Support colleagues in the performance of their duties, particularly during absences
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to understand both written and oral instructions
• Solid organizational and problem solving skills
• Basic bookkeeping skills

Tools and Technology Requirements:

• General office equipment such as telephone, computer, copier, radio and adding machine
• Computer software such as: email, Office Suite, word processing, spreadsheets and databases

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting
• Some bending and twisting to access file cabinets, office machinery and supplies
• Occasional stressful moments

Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a climate controlled office environment, with very limited exposure to extreme heat/cold and poor ventilation. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment and occasional radio transmissions. No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
