About the position:
As a Full Time or Part-Time Team Member of our Banquet Server Team you will get to experience the fun of creating an excellent customer experience for our guests and their special events such as birthday parties, wedding receptions, retirement dinners or business meetings.
Team Members have excellent guest service skills to make our guests feel welcome The banquet server will be responsible for taking beverage orders and delivering meals to the tables. The banquet server will assist in the setting of tables in preparation for the banquet.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Setting tables in preparation for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Prepares all hot and cold beverages for guests.
- Food preparation duties such as preparing salads, wraps, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
- Serves the food or beverages to guests' tables as required.
- Plating food to be served to guests
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters; take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
- Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, removing trash from the banquet rooms.
- Assist with cleaning up steam tables and putting food away after the meal has been served.
- Refers all questions about menu items to the Hospitality Coordinator.
- Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Provide guests with information about local areas, including giving directions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be able to work evenings, days, and weekends. *NEVER WORK A SUNDAY*
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods and to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs. daily
- Demonstrates professionalism and a high level of guest service so that guests leave our banquet facility with an excellent guest experience.
- Guest Oriented - Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following company procedures.
- Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
