Key Responsibilities
Legal Strategy and Advice:
- Provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with Governors and government officials on state and national initiatives.
- Anticipate legal risks and craft proactive mitigation strategies.
Contract and Compliance Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor, employment, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop corporate governance policies and oversee compliance programs.
Litigation and Risk Oversight:
- Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
- Address risks related to intellectual property, employment law, and data privacy.
Corporate Transactions:
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures with due diligence and deal structuring.
- Provide legal expertise for strategic growth initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing legal team.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative culture.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the Missouri Bar Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including a blend of in-house and law firm roles.
- Expertise in corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, or data privacy.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Background working with government entities or in tech-driven industries.
- Proven success managing complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing legal teams.
