What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commodity Manager position at Harvey Nash?
Day to Day:
- Manage EE, Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Components on PCBA BOMs
- Negotiate contracts and component pricing with manufacturers and suppliers
- Drive cost avoidance and work on cost reduction opportunities with suppliers and internal teams
- Review the BOMs and establish alternate sourcing strategy for critical single source components
- Manage RFIs, RFPs and RFQs with suppliers
- Provide support as escalation path on component Clear-To-Build (CTB) shortages
Must Haves:
- 5 years of direct work experience on EE components, Mech and Electro-Mechanical components
- 5 years Project/program management experience within Supply Chain
- Experience in managing tools and systems such as Smartsheet, Confluence, MS Excel, JIRA, SAP or similar ERP system
- Background in engineering, preferably with semiconductors or related (degree or work experience)
- Demonstrated capability to refine and articulate problem statements to wide audience (engineering, quality, reliability, legal and leaderships)
- Can multi-task and manage high complexity programs
- Great and clear communication (verbally and in writing) – will be doing document write-ups
Pluses:
1. With Engineering degree and Supply Chain experience
2. Experience working on aerospace and automotive industries
