What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Assistant - Strength & Conditioning position at Hastings College?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate program within rules and regulations of the institution, the GPAC and NAIA.
- Cultivate and track long-term athletic development of assigned athletic teams including: strength, power, and mitigating injuries.
- Must be actively studying for the Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) test through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and have a test date scheduled until completed.
- Complete daily operational tasks specified with your position on the Sports Performance staff (i.e. internship, open hours, social media, maintenance, etc.).
- Be CPR/AED/First-Aid certified through the American Red Cross
- Work cooperatively with faculty members, admission, alumni, and development office personnel, the sports information director, all student support services, and all athletic department personnel.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is also required.
