Now Scheduling Interviews for a Regional Manager who will open the new Wrigleyville location as the General Manager in early 2026 Wrigleyville, train their replacement, and then step into the Regional Manager role as we expand in Chicago.
- Must be open to travel for initial training (6 months at Hattie B's locations in Tennessee, Atlanta, Texas, etc.)
- Must have have least 5 years experience as Regional Management and Operations experience, particularly with developing teams.
- Interviews will be taking place in June for July hire. Training July -early 2026.

Job Summary:
The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple restaurant locations within the Chicago area or region. This role involves opening the Wrigelyville location as the GM. As we add more stores, you will ensure that all units operate efficiently and maintain high standards of food quality, guest service and staff performance while achieving financial goals. The RDO will lead and support individual restaurant managers, drive operational excellence and implement strategic initiatives to maximize profitability and Guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and living Hattie B’s four foundational pillars.
Job Qualifications:
- Must live in Chicago, Illinois.
- At least five years of experience in restaurant management, with three years in a multi-unit management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of achieving financial goals and driving operational excellence.
- Ability to travel frequently between locations.
- Proficient in restaurant management software and financial analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality or related field preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of our first Chicago location and eventually multiple restaurant locations.
- Ensure consistent adherence to company standards, policies and procedures across all units.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses and profitability metrics.
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for improving efficiency.
2. Leadership and Team Development:
- Recruit, train and mentor restaurant managers to develop their leadership and operational skills.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, mentoring and performance evaluations to direct reports.
- Foster a positive work environment encouraging teamwork, communication and professional growth.
- Lead by example in promoting company values, culture and customer service excellence.
3. Guest Experience:
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction is maintained across all restaurant locations.
- Monitor and improve service delivery, ensuring food quality, presentation and hospitality consistency.
- Review results of guest satisfaction metrics with teams and establish goals and plans for continual improvement.
4. Financial Management:
- Manage budgets for each restaurant location. Build financial acumen with GM and AM’s.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends, areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including inventory management, cash handling and payroll.
- Drive sales growth through local marketing efforts, community engagement and strategic initiatives.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all units comply with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular audits (Ops Reviews) and inspections to identify and address potential risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, legal requirements and best practices.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect employees and customers.
6. Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies.
- Identify market opportunities and recommend initiatives to enhance brand presence and competitiveness.
- Coordinate and manage the opening of new restaurant locations, including staffing, training and setup.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the VP of Operations on the performance of each unit.

Working Conditions:
- As GM- Must open the Wrigleyville location and ensure store operations and staff training. 100% on site.
- As eventual RDO- Must be able to travel 75% of the time.
- Must be able to stand and walk for eight to 12 hours in length.
- Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 40lbs repeatedly during a shift.
- Must be able to work around varying temperature levels, from warm to very warm in the kitchen.
- Must be able to work at various locations including festivals, stadiums and restaurants.
- Must be able to work 45 to 55 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
