We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to oversee the mechanical, electrical and overall maintenance of the facility building and grounds.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Responsible for the day to day mechanical, electrical and overall maintenance of the facility and grounds.
- Respond to, and resolve problems or complaints raised by Facility Manager or any other member of management in a timely and professional manner. Follow up correspondence if required.
- Responsible for periodic maintenance, servicing and inspection of all equipment including air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, pumps, etc. to ensure all are in good operating order.
- Assist the Facility Manager to coordinate/manage all sub-contractors as needed.
- Assist the Facility Manager to ensure the building is in compliance with all the safety systems and code enforcement as required.
- Report all maintenance issues to the Facility Manager.
- Maintain complete confidentiality on behalf of the clients.
- Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
- Planning and scheduling repairs.
- Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
- Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Any other duties as instructed by management.
- Acquire and maintain all CEU, CPR, trainings, etc. as required by JCAHO.
Maintenance Technician Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
