Position Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Security Guard ensures the safety of HICHC property and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe, document, and report activities and incidents.
- Watch for irregular conditions that may create security concerns.
- Sound alarms or call police/fire department in emergencies.
- Preserve order and enforce regulations.
- Patrol assigned site; check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
- Respond to incidents like fire, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials.
- Monitor parking lots for authorized vehicles.
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and suspicious activities.
- Assist patients, employees, and visitors courteously.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Obtain and maintain required security licensure.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Effective communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to assess situations and identify critical issues quickly.
