Summary
We are seeking experienced, skilled Dental Assistants to join our team at Hawaiian Island Dental. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dental procedures and enhancing the patient experience in our welcoming office. We welcome trainees (no prior dental experience) who have experience in the following areas: CNA duties in-home or facility care, medical reception/records, veterinary care, laboratory, phlebotomy, pharmacy, hospital, financial or banking, sales and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures as necessary.
- Ensure the dental office is organized and well-stocked with supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental, medical, veterinary or patient care facility.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Ability to take accurate dental radiographs using 3D scanning technology is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
