Petite size law firm looking for full-time litigation paralegal. Applicant must have at least 2 to5 years litigation experience.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Drafting routine legal documents for review by attorney, compiling and preparing draft discovery responses, reviewing and analyzing responses and records produced by opposing counsel, and assisting attorney through all phases of litigation including Trial preparation.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, work well under pressure and challenging deadlines, and pay strong attention to detail.
- Must be experienced with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Pro, be familiar with entity management software, and be comfortable with upgrades and technology improvements. A working knowledge of information management technology applications for information retention is preferred.
- Monitor deadlines and due dates and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Assist with discovery deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, VLF attorneys, and your VLF team.
- Schedule hearings
- Communication with local, state, and federal courts - telephone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain and monitor high case volume.
