Job Overview: Hawthorne at Leesburg, a premier 55 active adult residential community, is seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Gate Attendant. This role is vital to ensuring the safety, security, and overall positive experience of our residents and visitors. The Front Gate Attendant will serve as the first point of contact for all guests, residents, and delivery personnel, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security & Access Control:
- Monitor the entrance gate, ensuring all vehicles and visitors adhere to community access protocols.
- Verify identification of visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel, ensuring proper documentation and approval from residents.
- Maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing vehicles and individuals, ensuring accurate records are kept at all times.
- Ensure that all residents and visitors follow safety and security guidelines, reporting any suspicious activity immediately to management or supervisor.
- Customer Service:
- Greet residents and guests in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
- Provide directions or assistance to residents and guests as needed.
- Assist with visitor registration and ensure that all access procedures are followed.
- Handle resident and visitor inquiries, resolving concerns or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Communicate with residents, community management, and other staff as needed to relay important information or updates.
- Report any maintenance issues, gate malfunctions, or safety concerns to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Other Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized front gate area, ensuring a professional appearance.
- Assist with other community tasks or special projects as directed by the management team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful or emergency situations.
- Basic computer skills for logging information and communicating via email.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a professional appearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio or telephone.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds (e.g., packages, documents).

Experience
