General Overview: The Product Manager is a strategic role responsible for supporting the sales, marketing and engineering teams in managing all aspects of product life cycle. Scope of management includes new innovative product identification, benchmarking, early product development, market channel identification, and current products support and obsolescence. The role requires excellent communication skills and leads the company’s product vision and strategy while ensuring input and alignment with stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic cradle to grave product management for all product lines and markets.
  • Maintain active understanding of product families current and projected volume, margin, function, features, and market position to steer organizational direction for profitable introduction and obsolescence decisions.
  • Develop and manage an active Voice of the Customer process.
  • Participate in R&D and New Product Development processes to ensure effective execution and transitions.
  • Evolve a Benchmarking process.
  • Evolve a Product Request process leading to efficient and effective identification of new products and features for all markets and channels (OE and Aftermarket).
  • Create and sell vision to internal and external stakeholders to maintain year-over-year alignment.
  • Collect and interpret market data into strategy plan.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with sales, marketing, engineering, quality, purchasing, manufacturing, and customer service.
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or related field and 5-7 years minimum of relevant experience preferred.
  • Understanding and knowledge of mobile products markets is essential (ex. construction, agriculture, powersports, turf, automotive).
  • Strong project management skills including acting as the team leader with the ability to influence a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated experiences successfully creating product-related vision and delivering business results to achieve that vision.
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and establish facts and prepare recommendations.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
