Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to support our design and modeling teams in a fast-paced design-build environment in our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and stamping electrical drawings, interpreting design-build sketches, and completing electrical designs to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret electrical specifications (SPECs) to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Analyze and validate electrical layout designs, sketches, and redlines for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
• Stamp and sign electrical drawings and documents in accordance with state licensing requirements and project needs.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Translate conceptual sketches and field markups into complete, code-compliant electrical designs.
• Provide clear and structured handoffs of reviewed layouts to modelers and drafters with electrical knowledge.
• Act as a technical advisor throughout the design and modeling phases, ensuring quality, consistency, and code compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC), standards, and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent field experience (preferred)
• Experience with SKM Power Tools for short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis (preferred)
• Proven experience in electrical design, layout review, and design-build project support.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and applicable codes and specifications.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, electrical schematics, and design sketches.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
