JOB TITLE: Area Supervisor 1
REPORTS TO: Area Manager
EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-exempt
PURPOSE: The Area Supervisor 1 will lead and provide guidance to clients and production associates to assure on-time production and quality requirements are achieved.
AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Our leaders are responsible for a specific area of manufacturing as provided on the organizational chart; however, they are flexible leaders and may be moved to other manufacturing areas to provide growth opportunities, and additional support when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Ensures that all area production associates understand their productivity goals and keys to success.
- Monitors and analyzes productivity in an area to ensure productivity goals are achieved.
- Provides timely feedback to associates regarding performance and empowers associates to perform at their best.
- Helps align associate development goals with manufacturing goals.
- Develops associate performance metrics and ensures regular performance communications.
- Ensures that all associates working in the area have completed and documented the training required in a timely manner.
- Identifies talent in area and works with associates to improve their performance. Identifies leadership talent and recommends associates for advanced training in leadership.
- Ensures accurate and relevant production data is entered into the ERP.
- Monitors area waste and resolves or escalates quality issues in an effectively communicated manner.
- Supervise clients and production employees to ensure HVO policies and procedures are being followed.
- Monitors production plan and works with production planning to ensure alignment with order due dates.
- Ensures that materials are available for manufacturing orders.
- Leads and participates in relevant investigations for nonconforming processes or products.
- Performs inventory counts and adjustments.
- Approves and submits associate time records.
- Recommend hiring, dismissal, promotion, and disciplinary action for associates in primary area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates a can-do attitude and is willing to perform any area task to maximize area performance.

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Proven ability to read and understand product specifications.
- Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors.
- Demonstrates necessary computer skills to enter and maintain accurate data into various HVO
applications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Able to lift 20 pounds
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED or proven work experience in a related field.
