What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at Hazen and Sawyer?
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Project Accountantto join our successful, environmental engineering firm. We are an employee-owned firm with over 1,200 people in over 50 locations across the country and abroad. Our primary focus is on planning, designing, and overseeing construction of infrastructure related to water, wastewater and storm water management.
This candidate would be eligible for remote or hybrid scheduling.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a Business or Accounting degree or similar Accounting experience
- Has a positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is able to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast paced, problem solving and deadline-driven environment
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and task oriented
- Is Comfortable learning new technologies, tools and platforms
- Has Strong computer skills in MS Office and Windows applications
Duties include:
- Preparing and sending accurate invoices in a timely matter using client-specific formatting
- Coordinating with Project Managers to receive and incorporate their draft invoice comments and reports into final invoices.
- Submitting invoices through client portals
- Coordinating with Subconsultants to ensure their invoices are accurate and meet our clients’ requirements
- Opening and closing projects
- A/R Review and assisting in collection efforts
- Entering and posting sub invoices
- Preparing other reports as necessary
Experience with Deltek Vision is a plus
