What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Production position at HBD Industries?
Position Summary
The Production Support employee will work on a variety of manufacturing tasks in the production of hose and belt products, which may include operation of equipment, handling of raw materials, following build instructions, and movement of product. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.
This position's assigned shift is 6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday and pays $15.52 to start and $17.08 after 90 days.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow our corporate policies of Safety, Quality and Productivity
- Employ established set-up and Standard Operating Procedures for machines, tooling, gauging and other necessary equipment
- Employ basic math skills of addition, subtraction, and multiplication to report production
- Provide accurate production reporting
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Maintain reliable attendance record
Preferred Experience and Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with production reporting, computers and documentation is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Physically medium duty work required
- Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds frequently
