Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking an Associate Pathologist to be based at HCA Florida Largo Hospital which is located on the coast directly west of Tampa.

Qualified Candidates:
- AP/CP certification is required
- Over 2 years of practicing experience preferred
- Proficiency in general surgical pathology, clinical interpretations, and frozen sections. Comfortable with liver transplant biopsies.
- Subspecialty training or expertise in liver/GI preferred
- Active Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plus
- Volumes – approximately 4,000 surgical cases per year, 600 non-gyn cytology cases per year, 2 peripheral smears per day and 1-2 blood bank reviews per week.

- Largo has approximately 450 beds with a Transplant Center (kidney, liver and heart).
- The vast majority of anatomic pathology specimens are GI tract, including pancreatic and liver. Other specimens include a wide variety of cases – thoracic, head and neck, urologic and neurologic. Cytology cases consists of effusions, CSF, urine, EBUS, common bile duct brushings, bronchial washings/brushings, and thyroid FNAs.
