Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Lead Pharmacist to join our team. As our Pharmacist Lead you would provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients and ensure the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution and control of all medications. You will effectively supervise activities of supportive personnel. HCA Healthcare is dedicated to the growth and development of our colleagues. What you will do in this role:

• You will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly.
• You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
• You will assist in the supervision and training of pharmacy technician personnel.
• You will participate in Drug Utilization Review.
• You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering pharmaceuticals.
• You will monitor, record and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education
• Bachelors of Science or Pharm.D degree in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy
• A minimum of one year experience as a Pharmacist in an acute-care Hospital setting required
• Florida State licensure as a Pharmacist
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
