Job Summary and Qualifications

An EEG Technician provides the professional care necessary to achieve the goal of the Neurodiagnostic Program for the diagnoses of various patient populations in accordance with specific guidelines of practice. You will schedule and perform EEG’s utilizing a multi-channel EEG machine and obtain pertinent information from the patient and their chart. As an EEG Technician, you must note additional test results and any other clinical information necessary for diagnosis.

• You will effectively communicate with all patients, peers and medical staff to provide the most accurate and timely testing and reporting.
• You must recognize abnormal EEG and convey this to the neurologist.
• You will list medications, portable and standard recordings, and use physiologic activation such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma graduate.
• Some college preferred and training in an accredited school or hospital equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year independent experience.
• Certified or certified eligible EEG Technologist.
