Job Summary and Qualifications
- Responsible for identification of basic cardiac rhythms and reports changes to the RN appropriately.
- Monitors telemetry for multiple areas of the hospital from a centralized location.
- Performs clerical and reception duties as assigned.
- Communicates patient care needs to the Registered Nurse and/or other appropriate healthcare team members.
- Demonstrates knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
- Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
- Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
- Vocational or technical training in EKG monitoring & interpretation
- 1 year experience
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
