What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Handyman position at HDI Properties?
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintenance of all properties managed by HDI Properties.
Flexible Schedule - Most tasks can be performed at various times.
Flexible Part-Time (hours/days) *willing to discuss options
Can work around your schedule to an extent.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare vacant units, getting them ready for new occupants
- Ability to make minor repairs to buildings, heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring and other general repairs
- Ensure the properties have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and all are in good, working condition
- Determine materials and supplies needed
- Parking lot cleanup including garbage pick up
- Maintain open communication with property owners and property managers for information regarding operations, renovations, and authorizations
Knowledge/Abilities:
- Must be self-starter with valid driver’s license
- Knowledge in maintenance supplies, equipment, materials and methods used in light maintenance
- Ability to make minor repairs to buildings, heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring and other general repairs
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people including fellow employees, residents, and contractors
- General technical skills Pay depending on experience.
