We sell products under the HEAD (alpine skis, ski bindings, ski boots, snowboard and protection products, tennis, racquetball, paddle and squash racquets, tennis balls and tennis footwear, sportswear and swimming products), Penn (tennis balls and racquetball balls), Tyrolia (ski bindings) and Mares (watersports equipment) brands.


Our Winter Sports business is a premier ski and outdoor brand dedicated to making high-performance equipment and accessories for all levels.  Since our beginnings, we’ve achieved a reputation for cutting-edge design, engineering excellence and high quality products. To support our business and manage risk while enabling growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to be a key member of our winter sports and sportswear teams.   This position will report directly to the Credit Manager located at our US Winter Sports Headquarters located in Boulder, CO.

             


SUMMARY

 

This position supports the Credit Manager for the Winter Sports and Sportswear divisions, with the shared goal of minimizing bad debt losses through sound credit decisions, while enabling sales opportunities.  The successful applicant for this position will assist and manage select aspects of customer setup, credit reviews, consistent customer account reconciliations and management, order review and where required, the collection of delinquent or past due accounts.  We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills to work effectively with our customers, our finance team and our sales teams in a variety of situations.    

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·      Responsible for consistent account reconciliations which can be reviewed and discussed with customers to understand and resolve discrepancies.


·      Perform collection calls on past due and/or delinquent accounts, and ability to negotiate with customers regarding credit issues in difficult circumstances.


·      Work closely with Customer Service and Warehouse management to identify and prevent control process errors.


·      Evaluate credit applications and financial statements to determine risk and recommend credit terms.

 

·      Review of customer sales orders for release. Including working very closely with internal customers and Winter Sports and Sportswear sales forces.


·      Cash application knowledge. Working with our online bank sites and cash application team to ensure customer payments are properly recorded, and communication with customers to resolve discrepancies or unapproved deductions.


·      Maintain accurate records of credit approvals, limits, and related correspondence.


·      Assist in the credit review of prospective customers.  Prepares documents to substantiate findings for review and approval.



QUALIFICATIONS or RELATED EXPERIENCE

·      Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or finance role is preferred. 


·      Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and credit risk indicators.


·      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


·      Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with SAP and/or online customer vendor portals (eg. Amazon Vendor Central) should be highlighted in the application.  


·      Ability to read and interpret general business documents such as credit applications, credit reports, credit inquiries, vendor invoices and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


·      A passion and knowledge of winter sports is desired and should be highlighted in the application.



Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.  Must be legally able to work in the USA. No relocation assistance will be offered for this position.
