Senior Director of - TRC

Job Title: Senior Director of Emergency Shelter Services - Overflow
Reports To: VP of Operations
Location: Norfolk, MA
Position Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000

This is a contracted position for a minimum of 12 months

Overview: 

The Senior Director oversees staff and services for Heading Home’s Emergency Shelter Overflow in Norfolk, MA. Working closely with Heading Home’s VP of Operations, the Senior Director will serve as the liaison between Heading Home, EOHLC and EOHHS and be the single point of contact for all inquiries. The Senior Director will direct all activities of the overflow location including but not limited to staffing for the site, the development of the policies and procedures for the Overflow site, and ensuring all required services are made available to individuals at the site as needed.

Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:

General 

• Provide effective and inspiring leadership within the organization as a whole
• Represent Heading Home in interactions with external constituency groups, including community, governmental, and private organizations. Collaborate with external partners to promote the success of Heading Home’s programs and advance the field as a whole
• Oversee organizational processes and procedures to ensure success; bring together staff and other stakeholders as needed to assess and improve these aspects of the program operations.
• Ensure that all programs and services are culturally appropriate, operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Heading Home 

Personnel  

• Supervise, coach, support, and assess direct reports, and support them in doing the same for the staff they oversee.  
• Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations and contribute to improving them

Budget 

• Participate in budget development process and monitor and maintain alignment with program budgets

Compliance and safety

• Ensure that all services are carried out in compliance with all relevant regulations and funder requirements
• Ensure implementation of all State and organizational policies and procedures as well as programmatic guidelines
• Work with staff to develop, update, and disseminate safety and security procedures as they apply to programs. Monitor adherence to company and State safety standards; in consultation with Human Resources staff, ensure that all staff receive initial, refresher, and remedial training as needed to maintain compliance 

Other

• Collaborate with the VP of Operations and Data Team to develop and implement the tracking of process and outcome data, ensuring that data is collected, analyzed, and presented as required for government contracts, private fundraising efforts, and continuous improvement of programs

Cubicle space within large office building; prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer, OR, requires equal amounts of sitting and standing, must be able to climb stairs. Office is open to the public and visitors only by appointment. Position requires a minimum of four days onsite. Office is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning.

Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
