We invite you to join our dedicated team at Healing Wheels Transportation Team as a NEMT Transport Driver. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers, wheelchairs and walkers in a safe and efficient manner to medical appointments. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers to their designated locations.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, and passenger counts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with lifting and loading/unloading of wheelchairs and walkers as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues that arise during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times.
Qualifications

- Pass National Sex Offender Background
- Motor Vehicle Record
- Pass a drug test
- First Aid/CPR (paid by employer)
- PASS (paid by employer)
- Defensive Driving (paid by employer)
