Healix Infusion Therapy, LLC is currently seeking a qualified Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in Fayetteville, GA. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacy technician with a prior experience with order entry and strong sterile preparations skills. The ideal team member will work well in a small team environment and willing to assist as needed in all pharmacy areas of the infusion center.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; Physician's practice & Infusion Center daytime operating hours
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complies with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
- Complies with all Healix policies and procedures affecting scope of responsibilities.
- Performs all functions within accepted scope of practice.
- Performs technical duties as assigned by pharmacists.
- Maintains pumps, including inventory, quality control checks, tracking and related documentation.
- Ensures sterile products compounding area is cleaned and maintained according to policy and procedure and USP<797> standards.
- Compounds products utilizing appropriate aseptic technique. Performs compounding accurately, without errors and minimal waste. Maintains accurate records of all compounding.
- Records initials on all compound sheets and labels (if required by state law).
- Has all work checked by a pharmacist.
- Maintains all QC activities and documentation for the preparation areas and pharmacy.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the job. Effectively integrates knowledge into job and continuously attains new knowledge.
- Scores 85 or higher on all annual competencies and skills validations, with timely completion.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and neat pharmacy and infusion center.
- Works in an organized and thorough manner, minimizing downtime.
- Participates in departmental quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Performs departmental inventory control procedures.
- Monitoring of inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking, shipping, credits and returns.
- Monitors unused compounded sterile products, reissues appropriate compounds, and appropriately destroys expired compounds.
- Communicates regularly with infusion center and department management.
- Makes recommendations to Pharmacy Manager as to how methods and procedures can be improved.
- Observes and reports any unusual situations, occurrences, conditions, or complaints related to pharmacy operations to the Pharmacy Manager.
- Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Prioritizes workload and uses time efficiently.
- Wears neat and appropriate apparel and is identifiable as a pharmacy technician.
- Answers the telephone in assigned area and directs calls quickly and professionally.
- Accountable for the time period in which scheduled to work. Notifies the pharmacist when leaving area for breaks or meals. Notifies Manager and Staffing as soon as possible for absences.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Maintains current certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT.
- Maintains registration as applicable by state law and regulation.
