Qualifications
- 2 years of billing and coding experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital, preferably primary and urgent care experience
- Billing/Coding Certification is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- EMR - E-Clinical experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- CPT and ICD10 coding experience
- Electronic Claims Submission
- Daily Posting of Health Services Charges
- HCPS
- Insurance Verification
- Medical Terminology
- Understanding Insurance Guidelines
- Verifying Health Insurance Coverage
- Posting of Insurance/Patient Payments
- Handling Collections of Unpaid Accounts
- Track Unpaid Claims with Standard Billing Time Frame
- Contact Insurance Companies with Payment Discrepancies
- Review and Appeal Unpaid and Denied Claims
- Answering Patient's Billing Questions
- Identify and Bill Secondary or Tertiary Insurances
- Other Varies Duties
Salary depending on experience.
