Healthcare Billing Service of NY is looking for a full time Insurance Follow up Representative. The person that we hire will perform duties in a highly responsible manner with the highest degree of competence. We are looking for a team player with a strong sense of commitment, who has the ability and the drive to:
- Follow up on unpaid insurance claims
- Review denials
- Identify billing errors
- Initiate appeals when necessary.

Requirements of the position are:
- Proficiency in relevant software and basic computer skills necessary
- Professional phone skills, both incoming and outgoing to patients, insurance companies and clients
- Organized and able to meet deadlines for accurate follow up and reconsiderations
- Some prior experience with workers compensation and no fault billing, and follow up for facilities and physicians preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
