Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve corporate safety policies aligned with OSHA, USACE, client and other relevant standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments across construction sites and operational facilities to identify hazards and establish mitigation strategies.
- Oversee occupational health initiatives, ensuring compliance with workers' compensation regulations and promoting wellness programs.
- Manage compliance with OSHA requirements, safety standards, and other regulatory frameworks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and update contractor qualification documentation for clients.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate construction management activities to ensure safety protocols are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, conduct audits, and generate reports for executive review.
- Provide training sessions on EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices, construction site safety procedures, and compliance management for staff at all levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols. Minimum 7 years progressive experience and track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage occupational health programs effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction management software tools used for safety tracking and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance audits.
- Construction site experience is essential; prior roles should include hands-on safety oversight on large-scale projects.
